Elisa Steinhardt
And now I have finally found out what happened to Auntie Elisa:
Steinhardt Elisa
Elisa Steinhardt. During the war was deported with Transport 27 from Drancy to Auschwitz on 02/09/1942. Elisa perished in the Shoah. This information is based on a List of deportation from France found in the Le Memorial de la deportation des juifs de france, Beate et Serge Klarsfeld, Paris 1978.
More about Elisa
Steinhardt Else
Else Steinhart was born in Wien in 1910 to Arthur and Regine. She was a singer. Prior to WWII she lived in Wien, Austria. During the war she was in Wien, Austria. Else perished in the Shoah at the age of 33. This information is based on a Page of Testimony (displayed on left) submitted on 16-Aug-1999 by her relative, a Shoah survivor
Again. The name of Arthur is wrong, unless Isadore - Izzy was his second name. There she is.
But there is a mistake here.
My great grandfather, as I understand it, died before the war. His son was Arthur. Perhaps that was the name people outside the family called him:
But I don't think he perished in the Shoah. Regine was a widow when they came for her in Prague.
Steinhart Arthur
Arthur Steinhart was born in Austria. He was a redaktor and married to Regine nee Neumann. Prior to WWII he lived in Wien, Austria. During the war he was in Wien, Austria. Arthur perished in the Shoah. This information is based on a Page of Testimony (displayed on left) submitted on 16-Aug-1999 by his relative, a Shoah survivor.
The address is the same for all three Steinhardts.
Mom and granny left France for South Africa on Checkoslovakian passports.
