Granny was an amazing person, kind, loving and had an odd sense of humour.
The thing I will miss about her is her presence and her smile.
I have kept every card, letter and postcard she ever gave me.
She used to tell my sister and me stories about her love life in university and grandpa getting jealous.
I remember one of her favourite phrases she used to finalise a discussion with us, her grandchildren was, you are entitled to your opinion, but you are wrong.
I have a fond memory of her being pleased that I had grown an inch taller than her. She always knew what was important to people. Now that I know that from heaven she is listening, I want to say "Granny you were so kind and generous to so many people in your life, Granny I am going to miss you, but I know that I am going to see you again."
I am going to dedicate this song "In my life" to my granny Eve, because I remember that a year ago when me and Betty sang it at a family gathering, she told me that she had enjoyed it.
Carmen plays the guitar and sings with Betty and Eve, to the words
In my life
There are places I remember
All my life though some have changed
Some forever not for better
Some have gone and some remain
All these places had their moments
With lovers and friends I still can recall
Some are dead and some are living
In my life I've loved them all
But of all these friends and lovers
There is no one compares with you
And these memories lose their meaning
When I think of love as something new
Though I know I'll never lose affection
For people and things that went before
I know I'll often stop and think about them
In my life I love you more.
Though I know I'll never lose affection
For people and things that went before
I know I'll often stop and think about them
In my life I love you more
In my life I love you more
